TABULATION WINDOW

• Variables now properly reset when a geographic tabulation is cleared and subsequently recreated.
  

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, geography labels failed to reappear when a user first cleared and then dragged variables back into the tabulation window.

• Deleting columns no longer cause DataFerrett to crash. This function is now properly executed in the tabulation window with no negative impact.
• The time series button is now disabled when columns or rows depicting multiple time periods (instances) are selected.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, users received an error when highlighting cells spread over multiple time periods (instances) and attempting to create a time series graph.

• The error box now alerts the user if an incorrectly formatted formula has been entered into the formula bar.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, the error box contained no information when an incorrect formula was entered.

• An extra column (or row) is now added when a user creates a custom formula in the last column (or row) of the tabulation window.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, a user was unable to add any variables to the tabulation after creating a formula that filled all available columns.

MAPPING/GEOGRAPHY

• The maps created from the "Make a Map" feature now display accurately.
• The map creation button is no longer enabled if only empty rows or columns are selected.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, a blank map window was generated when a user attempted to create a map after selecting empty rows or columns.

• Maps now use the proper geography when a saved DataFerrett tabulation file (.ftf) table is loaded.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, loading tables from an .ftf file could cause outdated geographies to be used, resulting in inaccurate mapping.

• The map request feature now excludes hidden rows when generating maps.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, a map based on a table in which selected rows were hidden would display the information from the hidden rows.

• The "Make a Map" feature now properly checks if point data is being used and displays the appropriate title.
• Designated color schemes now display in map legends and maps regardless of the number of color changes made by a user.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, color changes were seen on the map legend but not on the map after multiple color changes were made.

RECODE

• The Recode button in "Step Two: Data Basket/Download/Make a Table" now displays as Recode Variable instead of Recode Variables(s) clarifying that only one variable can be recoded at a time.

DOWNLOAD

• Layout presentation has been improved by increasing the default size of variables that are included in a downloaded file.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, the layout file did not agree with the actual positions in the file when a space delimited file was created. The code has been modified so that the physical metadata for all items are added to the query as "must items", correcting the layout file presentation.

DATABASKET

• The DataBasket border title now displays the name of a single dataset being used.

  Explanation: Prior to this fix, the titles of the datasets in the DataBasket were displayed in the dataset column only when working with multiple datasets. The title was not displayed when using a single dataset.

FIXES (as of March 7, 2012)

DataFerrett corrected an error in which the user received a listing of datasets that included those that were inaccessible; after fixing a security issue, the user now sees only the available datasets.
